We used Michael and his team for three projects. The first one was a color consultation for our home in 2013, the second one was a master bathroom remodel in October 2015, and the third was our Kitchen remodel in 2017. Our experience was very positive. After the color consultation we painted and changed out hardware in every single room in our house. After the bath and kitchen remodels, our house has truly become the home we’ve always wanted. Michael’s team helped us define our style and bring it into the home while balancing our style with the style of the house.
Our house was built in 1986. The previous owners had made some improvements to the master bathroom and kitchen, like updated the faucets and re-done the floor in their taste but it all still felt dated. The bathroom and kitchen needed to be brought into the future and into harmony with the rest of the house.
It was difficult for us to decide if we should keep parts of the old bathroom like the bathtub and the tile floor. Michael’s designer gave us some good advice on what to focus on and helped us envision and understand the impact of keeping some of the old vs. doing it all. We are so happy with the improvements that Michael and his team has helped us with.
Michael and his designer have an amazing gift for space planning and color. I was having a difficult time deciding on a paint color for my interior walls and after spending time getting to know me, the designer helped me pick the perfect color for my home. She also helped guide me through picking three different types of flooring that all look wonderful together. I am very pleased with how everything came together.
Michaelwas a great resource for my husband and me. He and I have zero creativity, but after a consultation with us, he identified our “style,” and set to work on a brand-new fireplace wall and surround. We could not believe our eyes when we saw his ideas come to life! He put something together that made sense for our house and steered us in a great direction. His team provided further help when we started having problems with our contractor (that we had chosen, before meeting him) and his team got the project back on track. His billing was fair and honest. We appreciate his efforts and would recommend him to others. We were sorry to hear that he moved back to Tennessee and wouldn’t be able to help us with our future projects.
Working with Michaelin updating our living areas and kitchen of our modest home was a delight! We will be working with him and his team again! From the initial consultation and throughout the project, he could visualize the home feeling and look we were trying to achieve. Throughout the project, he remained cognizant of our budget, and even made several suggestions that allowed us to save money, without jeopardizing the look and quality we were wanting. The new cabinets throughout the house are beautiful, very functional, and cost less than re-facing the old builder grade ones. The team was very personable, talented and experienced professionals. We have very much enjoyed our working relationship with Michael. His Team was, professional, flexible, and has very good ideas regarding design. Michaelcame out to discuss a new addition and was able to suggest wonderful alternatives very much keeping in mind budget realities. After a distributor’s error on the limestone tiles we wanted, we got a more expensive one (what we wanted) for a lower price (what the distributor quoted us); Michaelensured we would NOT be charged the difference! We have chosen to break our remodel into stages; he is very open to that and does not pressure us to increase the speed of the projects. He has a cadre of professionals to assist with whatever project you need; all very good quality at reasonable prices. We highly recommend him for all your home improvements.
